Every Ulta Beauty store also features a full-service salon that offers hair, skin, brow, and makeup services performed by professional stylists and estheticians who promote confidence and beauty in every customer experience. The company is publicly traded on NASDAQ under the symbol ULTA, actively embracing diversity and inclusion in its hiring practices. Ulta Beauty is committed to fostering an environment where employees feel valued, heard, and have ample opportunities for growth and development. The company supports a collaborative culture rooted in its core mission, vision, and values with a focus on delivering unparalleled guest experiences that inspire and empower.
The Experience Manager (EM) role at Ulta Beauty plays a pivotal leadership position that aligns with the company’s mission and vision by leading a high-performing team consisting of stylists, estheticians, guest coordinators, assistant services managers, sales managers, and boutique leads to drive top-line sales growth in both retail and services. The EM is accountable for managing all facets of the guest experience including retail sales, salon services, makeup, boutique services, and overall guest satisfaction metrics such as the Net Promoter Score (NPS). This leadership role demands a results-driven individual who is passionate about beauty and skilled in motivating and developing their team to execute operational excellence and outstanding customer service. The EM works in close collaboration with the General Manager to manage budgets, payroll, and optimize store scheduling to maximize productivity and profitability. They act as stewards of compliance by enforcing store procedures and policies while also addressing performance metrics through strategic initiatives to elevate store performance.
Beyond operational management, the Experience Manager actively engages in hands-on product demonstrations, skincare consultations, and makeup applications to enrich the customer journey and enhance sales opportunities. They champion a culture of accountability, inclusivity, and continuous professional development by fostering open communication, coaching team members, and supporting their growth through training and development initiatives. The EM also plays a vital role in staffing by attracting and retaining diverse talent to maintain a dynamic and engaged workforce that embodies the Ulta Beauty brand. The role requires adaptability, strong judgment, and a collaborative spirit to navigate the fast-paced retail environment, embracing ever-evolving industry trends and company objectives.
As part of the role’s requirements, the Experience Manager will work a flexible full-time schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, and will participate in corporate business meetings and conferences to stay aligned with company goals and development opportunities. The position offers compensation ranging from $30.00 to $37.00 per hour with potential for additional earnings through a bonus plan. Full-time associates are eligible for an extensive benefits package including paid time off, health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, while part-time associates receive dental, vision, life and disability benefits. This role is an outstanding opportunity for individuals passionate about the beauty industry and retail management to grow their leadership career with a trusted and innovative beauty retailer.
