As a Food Expediter, you will be responsible for managing the expediting station during busy service periods, acting as the communication hub between the kitchen crew and servers. Your expert coordination will ensure that meal orders are prepared and assembled quickly according to restaurant standards, minimizing waste and enhancing service efficiency. You will verify each food order for accuracy and quality before it reaches our guests, paying close attention to the presentation to uphold our promise of delivering visually appealing and delicious plates. Your role is not just behind the scenes; you will also have the responsibility of delivering dishes to tables in a timely manner, offering descriptive explanations when necessary to enhance the guest experience.
This position requires you to be highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment. Your knowledge of all menu offerings will be essential to support both kitchen staff and servers effectively. You will oversee line checks to maintain proper inventory and cleanliness of the service areas, ensuring compliance with health department regulations and our internal food safety protocols. Collaborative teamwork is vital, especially during peak hours, where your assistance to servers helps maintain efficient flow and guest satisfaction. Obtaining and maintaining required certifications such as a valid gaming license, Food Handlers Certificate, and MAST certification are also mandatory for compliance purposes.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One year of experience as a food expediter or related restaurant position in a high-volume restaurant
- Demonstrate a pleasant attitude and energy to ensure exceptional guest service and present a professional demeanor, appearance, and communication skills
- Working knowledge of restaurant floor plans
- Ability to work under pressure and multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Clear communication with guests and team members regarding food and beverage orders and guest questions and concerns
- Ability to read menu offerings, product labels, register screens, pricing, receipts, safety procedures, and operating directions
- Maintain a safe and clean restaurant for guests
- Willing and able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Obtain and maintain a valid gaming license
- Obtain and maintain a Food Handlers Certificate
- Obtain and maintain MAST certification

Job Duties
- Manage the expediting station during service periods, serving as the communication hub between the kitchen and service staff
- Demonstrate knowledge of all menu offerings and understand detailed descriptions of each item
- Verify food orders for accuracy, presentation, and quality before delivery to guests
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure the timely preparation and delivery of all menu items
- Send complete orders out by table/seat number and follow all ticket requests (i.e., Send Solo, Split, For Table, etc.)
- Deliver food to tables promptly and accurately, describing dishes when appropriate
- Perform line checks to ensure proper par levels of all required products are on hand on an ongoing basis
- Assist servers during peak periods to maintain service efficiency and guest satisfaction
- Ensure all plates, garnishes, and accompaniments meet presentation standards
- Monitor ticket times and communicate delays to appropriate team members
- Maintain the cleanliness of service areas and assist with side work as needed
- Follow all health department regulations and food safety protocols
- Communicate guest preferences, allergies, and special requests clearly to kitchen staff
- Perform other duties and side work as assigned
