Canton Rodeo is an innovative and dynamic restaurant brand, preparing to open its very first location in Paramus, New Jersey in August 2026. The role of Expeditor (Expo) at Canton Rodeo is central to its operational success and guest satisfaction. As an Expeditor, you will be the pivotal link between the kitchen and the front-of-house service teams. Your primary responsibility is to ensure that every order is accurate, complete, and delivered to guests promptly and precisely. This position requires a blend of swift decision-making and exceptional coordination skills to manage multiple orders simultaneously without compromising accuracy or quality.

Working as the command center of service, you will handle the organization and verification of each order before it leaves the kitchen. Your keen attention to detail will ensure that modifications and special instructions are honored, packaging is neat, and all necessary utensils and condiments are included. The role not only requires maintaining high standards of cleanliness and station organization but also demands a proactive approach to guest interaction, ensuring that each visitor’s experience is seamless and pleasant.

Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
At least 1 year of experience in a fast-paced restaurant or food service environment preferred
Ability to stand for extended periods
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Must be able to work flexible shifts including evenings and weekends
Strong communication skills
Ability to multitask and maintain attention to detail
Must follow all food safety and sanitation protocols
Reliable and punctual
Friendly and outgoing personality

Job Duties

Deliver exceptional guest experiences through precision and hospitality
Organize tickets and manage multiple orders simultaneously with speed and precision
Assemble and pack orders accurately while maintaining presentation standards
Serve as the final quality checkpoint before handoff to guests or delivery partners
Verify all items, modifications, packaging, and labeling against tickets
Ensure special instructions and dietary requests are fulfilled or escalated to management when necessary
Communicate clearly with service line, kitchen, and management regarding missing or incorrect items
Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient packing and pickup station
Personally hand orders to guests and delivery partners when possible
Restock to-go supplies such as bags, sauce cups, cutlery, napkins
Organize and maintain pick-up shelves
Refill water station
Prepare and serve soft-serve ice cream when needed
Complete food safety training and follow all safety procedures
Maintain 100% adherence to uniform standards
Practice clean as you go across the service line
Clean and maintain workstations including counter spaces, induction tables, carving station, ice cream machine, beverage equipment, display windows
Restock supplies as needed
Maintain cleanliness inside and outside the restaurant
Conduct dining room and restroom checks
Support dishwashing and back-of-house by carrying back soiled pans, boards, knives and serving utensils
Follow all sanitation, safety, and chemical handling procedures
Communicate clearly with front and back of house teams
Maintain speed and flow during peak rushes
Support teammates wherever needed
