We are currently seeking an experienced Expeditor to join our team. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the smooth operation of our production line by managing the timely availability of necessary components. Working under daily supervision, you will assist with maintaining component needs within the Gate 2 Kitting/Accumulation process. Your primary responsibility will be to fulfill production requirements by identifying and gathering components according to the production schedule to meet customer commit dates effectively. This position is essential in supporting the efficiency and accuracy of the assembly process, helping to maintain customer satisfaction through on-time delivery.

As an Expeditor at StandardAero, you will utilize your analytical skills to review and analyze data ensuring proper disposition of materials, including identifying misplaced parts and rerouting them as needed. You will act with a strong sense of urgency to resolve materials issues quickly, responding promptly to production needs. Additionally, you will procure and expedite aircraft materials through repair, subcontract, or supply channels to maintain both internal production and external customer demands. The role requires daily accumulation and accounting of numerous components on various engine racks, as well as preparing these racks ahead of schedule by completing thorough inventories and resolving outstanding issues.

Collaboration is critical in this position; you will work closely with Customer Service and Operations teams to mitigate any shortages through possible swap options. You will also monitor the production schedule and run daily reports to maintain visibility on outstanding material issues relative to production planning. Your effective use of electronic databases to retrieve accurate information about aircraft parts inventory and manufacturing specifics will be key to maintaining data integrity. Physical movement of materials from stock to production areas, often using material handling equipment like forklifts or pallet jacks, will be part of your daily duties.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid class 5 driver’s license or equivalent
  • Mechanical dexterity required
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds unassisted
  • Knowledge of inventory controls and warehousing procedures preferred
  • Knowledge of workplace hazardous materials information system (WHMIS)
  • Authorization to work in the U.S.

Job Qualifications

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Good planning, organization, interpersonal, and decision-making skills to ensure compliance to customer, regulatory and company requirements
  • A valid class 5 driver’s license (or equivalent)
  • Mechanical dexterity
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds (unassisted) for approximately 25% of the average workday
  • Working knowledge of inventory controls and warehousing procedures is an asset
  • Thorough knowledge of the workplace hazardous materials information system (WHMIS) requirements and hazardous goods handling
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • A valid forklift operator’s license (preferred)
  • Working knowledge of computers
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the proper handling of material

Job Duties

  • Analyze and review data to assure proper disposition of materials and parts, including identification of misallocated parts, rerouting as appropriate and processing required paperwork
  • Work for quick resolution to support Production with strong sense of urgency by responding to the shops needs with inquiries to any materials issues
  • Ensure parts are stored accordingly to prevent damage and contamination
  • Procure and expedite aircraft materials via repair, subcontract, and/or supplied in order to maintain production needs as well as customer needs, both internal and external
  • Accumulate and account for numerous components on a daily basis to various engine racks within Gate 2
  • Prepare engine racks for build by completing a thorough inventory of the racks and resolving any outstanding issues prior to releasing the racks to build
  • Work closely with Customer Service and Operations to mitigate any shortages by exhausting all possible swap options
  • Monitor the production schedule/board daily to ensure engine racks are prepared in advance to release to build as they are scheduled
  • Run reports daily to have visibility of outstanding materials issues as it pertains to production scheduling
  • Utilize electronic databases in order to retrieve information regarding aircraft parts inventory, manufacturing model and serial numbers, and pertinent information to ensure accuracy and integrity of all data
  • Provide materials, components, and engines in a timely manner by physically moving them from stock points either manually or by way of material handling equipment (i.e., forklift, pallet jack, etc.)
  • Adhere to all safety procedures in the performance of the job
  • Complete training as required
  • Work in a fast paced, high demand environment that requires constant change
  • Able to adjust to any/all demands in order to meet production needs and customer commits
