Texas Roadhouse is a well-established, people-first restaurant chain that has become synonymous with legendary food and legendary service. Known for its commitment to hospitality and quality, Texas Roadhouse delivers a unique dining experience centered around mouth-watering steaks, hand-cut meats, and freshly baked breads. This company values its employees, affectionately called 'Roadies,' who are considered the heart and soul of the organization. With a vibrant and supportive work environment, Texas Roadhouse fosters a culture where employees love what they do today while being prepared for future career opportunities. The company provides extensive formal training, opportunities for career growth, and an inclusive, fun work environment with flexible schedules. The employment type for the Expeditor role is typically full-time or part-time in a fast-paced restaurant setting, with competitive weekly pay.
Joining Texas Roadhouse as an Expeditor means becoming an essential part of the restaurant’s operations, especially within the kitchen and service teams. As an Expeditor, your primary responsibility is to ensure that each meal leaving the kitchen meets the company’s high standards for quality and accuracy. You will have a key role in managing the flow of food between the kitchen and dining area, verifying that orders are prepared correctly and presented perfectly to customers. This position demands attention to detail, the ability to work efficiently under pressure, and excellent communication skills to collaborate with kitchen staff and servers.
The Expeditor is expected to comply with all portion sizes, quality standards, department rules, policies, and procedures. Maintaining cleanliness and sanitation at the food station is essential throughout every shift to uphold health and safety requirements. Understanding and properly executing prep sheets and recipes ensures that the food prepared meets Texas Roadhouse's consistent standards. Additionally, the Expeditor is responsible for validating food quality, confirming order accuracy, monitoring product levels during shifts, and effectively communicating any needs to the team. Adherence to First-In, First-Out (FIFO) stocking standards and proper product rotation is critical to minimize waste and maintain freshness.
Effective communication is vital within this fast-paced, high-volume environment. The Expeditor must demonstrate teamwork with kitchen staff and servers, contributing positively to a collaborative and efficient workplace. The goal is to provide guests with the best possible dining experience by ensuring every order is accurate and of exceptional quality.
Texas Roadhouse is proud to offer one of the industry’s most competitive total rewards packages to its employees after one year of service and eligibility. This package includes best-in-class medical plans, dental and vision insurance, tuition reimbursement up to $5,250 annually, paid vacation time, short-term disability, life, accident, and critical illness insurance, identity theft protection, an employee assistance program, business travel insurance, and an annual holiday bonus. Roadies also enjoy discounts in the restaurants, friendly competitions, and regular employee recognition programs that boost morale and create a fun, dynamic work environment.
Additionally, Texas Roadhouse embraces diversity and is an equal opportunity employer. They welcome applicants from all backgrounds and are committed to providing equal employment opportunities without regard to race, color, religion, age, gender, pregnancy, gender identity, disability, veteran status, sexual orientation, citizenship, national origin, or any other legally protected status. This inclusive approach helps to build a diverse workforce where everyone feels valued and respected. If you are passionate about food quality, customer service, and teamwork, this role as an Expeditor at Texas Roadhouse is a great opportunity to grow your career in the restaurant industry while contributing to a beloved national brand.
