The position available is for a Cook under the general direction of the Sous Chef. The Cook is responsible for assisting with the setup and maintenance of cooking stations, performing food preparation tasks, supporting food safety and sanitation practices, and ensuring timely and accurate delivery of food orders. This role also involves direct interaction with guests for special requests, monitoring kitchen stock levels, and maintaining cleanliness and organization throughout the kitchen and event areas. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One year of kitchen experience including food preparation, cooking, and knife skills
- Food handler's certification
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screen
- Ability to pass background investigation
- Ability to obtain and maintain gaming license
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 30 pounds
- Ability to follow safety procedures
- Ability to communicate respectfully and effectively
- Flexibility to work in noisy and indoor/outdoor environments
- Physical ability for prolonged standing and food preparation
Job Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- One year of kitchen experience including food preparation, cooking, knife skills, and food safety knowledge
- Valid food handler's certification
- Knowledge of restaurant operations and food service principles
- Knowledge of public relations and customer service principles
- Knowledge of food preparation and presentation methods, techniques, and quality standards
- Skill in organizing and coordinating
- Skill in cooking and preparing sushi foods
- Ability to communicate effectively with cooks and servers
- Ability to walk, stand, and prepare foods for prolonged periods
- Ability to enforce safety procedures
- Ability to coordinate quality assurance programs
- Ability to monitor and maintain quality control standards
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment professionally

Job Duties
- Oversee the final elements of the food preparation and service processes
- Assist in food delivery when needed
- Set up and maintain stations according to daily prep sheets, food safety, and sanitation standards
- Perform food preparation tasks, cleaning, and organization of kitchen areas
- Ensure proper labeling, rotation, and storage of food products
- Communicate effectively and respectfully with team members and kitchen staff
- Interact with guests for special requests or concerns
- Coordinate communication between kitchen and wait staff
- Monitor food order accuracy and timely delivery
- Manage movement of food from kitchen to dining area
- Receive and prioritize orders from servers
- Inspect dishes for presentation, accuracy, and quality
- Call out orders to servers and address special requests or issues
- Add garnishes and final adjustments while upholding safety standards
- Monitor cooking times to maintain service flow
- Adhere to food handling and sanitation procedures
- Assist with resolving food-related customer complaints
- Monitor kitchen stock levels and identify shortages
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of kitchen and equipment
- Attend daily and weekly department meetings
- Stay organized and prepared for events
