The Executive Steward role at the San Diego Convention Center is a pivotal leadership position within the Culinary Leadership Team. This role focuses on managing the nonfood production areas critical to maintaining a high-performing kitchen environment. Executive Stewards oversee the dishroom, storage spaces, and utility areas, ensuring these zones meet strict cleanliness, sanitation, and safety standards. Additionally, the role includes managing the inventory and distribution of essential banqueting supplies such as china, silver, glassware, and linen. The Executive Steward leads the Stewarding Department, guiding a diverse team to work efficiently and effectively alongside culinary and banquet teams, directly contributing to superior food preparation and guest service.
This position requires an individual with strong leadership skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, multi-site venue environment.
