Job Requirements

  • minimum of two years experience in food and beverage supervisory or management roles
  • experience in a full-service hotel
  • preferred experience in luxury hotel environment
  • ability to communicate effectively in the primary workplace language
  • capable of lifting 15 lbs or more regularly
  • strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • ability to work efficiently under pressure
  • willingness to undergo health inspections and maintain sanitation standards

Job Qualifications

  • at least two years of food and beverage supervisory or management experience
  • experience in a full-service hotel environment
  • previous experience in a luxury environment preferred
  • ability to speak, read, write and understand the primary workplace language
  • good verbal and written communication skills
  • ability to lift up to 15 lbs regularly

Job Duties

  • protect hotel investment by conducting accurate inventories and projecting annual equipment expenses
  • develop annual equipment purchase requirements
  • maximize profitability by forecasting labor needs and efficient scheduling
  • ensure proper use and control of cleaning supplies and orderly storage facilities
  • coordinate banquet timing by responding accurately to banquet managers and ensure proper food transport
  • report and ensure timely repair of equipment malfunctions
  • develop and maintain an efficient and enthusiastic department with pride in work environment
  • complete banquet equipment requisitions accurately and timely
  • develop and execute organized inventory systems
  • provide expense forecasts for supplies, labor, and equipment
  • escort health inspectors and maintain sanitation scores above 95
  • attend to administrative duties including scheduling, payroll, and personnel records
  • meet sanitation standards set by the Boston health department
  • train and motivate staff
  • ensure proper handling and care of equipment, china, glass, and silver
  • administer development plans for assistant managers, supervisors, and line employees
  • ensure cafeteria facility operates efficiently and maintains quality service
