The Executive Steward role at Hyatt is an integral leadership position within the Food & Beverage and Culinary departments, responsible for ensuring the highest standards of sanitation, cleanliness, and operational efficiency across all food production and service areas. This position demands a passionate and detail-driven professional who will oversee the daily operations of the Stewarding Department by leading, coaching, and managing the stewarding team to maintain optimal standards that directly support the culinary teams and enhance guest satisfaction. The Executive Steward plays a vital role in upholding Hyatt's commitment to health, safety, and brand standards, partnering closely with executive culinary leadership to ensure seamless and efficient operations.

This role includes managing payroll and labor productivity, scheduling and training staffing, as well as overseeing inventory control and the proper maintenance of kitchen equipment and kitchen supplies. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proven leadership experience in stewarding or food and beverage operations
  • Food handler certification
  • Strong knowledge of sanitation and safety regulations
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage payroll and labor productivity
  • Availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Lead and supervise the day-to-day operations of the Stewarding Department
  • Maintain exceptional sanitation and safety standards in all kitchens, restaurants, and food service areas
  • Schedule, train, manage, and coach stewarding team members
  • Oversee inventory control, ordering, and proper care of all kitchen equipment and supplies
  • Manage payroll and labor productivity in alignment with operational goals
  • Partner closely with the Executive Chef and Culinary leadership to support seamless operations
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and brand standards
