Job Description
Freedom Square of Seminole is an upscale senior living community located in the beautiful city of Seminole, Florida. This community is designed with a charming town square concept featuring paved brick streets and a welcoming gazebo, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for its residents. Situated on 15 acres with serene ponds and lush gardens, Freedom Square offers a tranquil and picturesque setting ideal for retirement living. The community prides itself on providing a wide selection of elegantly appointed residential options, superior services, and numerous amenities tailored to ensure a fulfilling lifestyle for its senior residents. It is conveniently located just a short drive from Lake Seminole and the stunning Gulf Coast beaches, combining comfort with accessibility to natural attractions.
As a life care community, Freedom Square simplifies aging in place by enabling residents to smoothly transition from independent living to assisted living, memory care, and skilled nursing care as their healthcare needs evolve. The community focuses on delivering exceptional care with low patient acuity and maintains excellent staffing ratios to ensure personalized attention. Employees enjoy a fun workplace culture with monthly luncheons and campus-wide events that foster camaraderie and engagement. Benefits are available for both full-time and part-time staff, including paid time off, paid holidays, paid training, and career advancement opportunities. The community also offers a resident scholarship fund and emphasizes cleanliness and high health standards across its facilities.
The role of Culinarian at Freedom Square is a dynamic leadership position within the Culinary Services Department. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, multi-unit culinary environment and be adaptable to changing demands. Reporting to the Executive Chef, the Culinarian assists in menu planning, costing, and execution while taking responsibility for departmental direction in the chef's absence. Maintaining cleanliness and adherence to health department standards is a crucial part of the role, along with effective communication with culinary leadership about operational issues and potential improvements. This position is perfect for a professional with culinary education, supervisory experience, and a passion for delivering high-quality dining experiences in a senior living community.
