This position is based at the Caesars Superdome and involves working on-site within a vibrant, high-volume venue environment. The role is a pivotal part of the culinary team, reporting directly to the Executive Chef. It encompasses significant responsibility for supporting and overseeing all culinary operations, including production, sanitation, and stewarding functions throughout the facility. The successful candidate will play an integral role in maintaining and advancing food quality standards, operational efficiency, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
The Culinary Supervisor is charged with assisting the Executive Chef in a broad array of duties such as recipe development, ensuring consistency in food presentation and preparation, and managing labor and operating expenses within budget guidelines. A critical component of the role includes maintaining rigorous sanitation standards to achieve top ratings from health authorities. The individual will also have the opportunity to contribute to menu planning specifically related to Kosher food service, aligning menus with cultural and dietary requirements for diverse clientele.

Job Requirements
- culinary degree or certified apprenticeship graduation
- 2-3 years management experience in high-volume venues or contract foodservice industry

Job Duties
- assist in maintaining high standards of sanitation and cleanliness
- aid the Executive Chef in maintaining the highest possible rating from the Health Department
- assist in the training, safety, sanitation and accident prevention controls within the kitchen
- help develop and test recipes and techniques for food preparation and presentation
- assist in the planning and development of Kosher menu items and recipes
- ensure consistent food qualities in presentation and preparation
- control labor and operating expenses through scheduling, budgeting, purchasing decisions and inventory control
- ensure all recipes and methods are followed
- maintain kitchen equipment
- report and document hazardous conditions or unsafe practices
- contribute to menu specifications including pricing
- work directly with Executive Chef on food production and menu development
- assist in checking and tasting food before events
- conduct meetings and pre-shifts to update staff
- ensure timely product delivery and proper temperatures
- close the kitchen properly and report to shift supervisor
- complete all closing duties
- conduct staff training as assigned
- perform other duties assigned by Executive Chef
