Located in Louisville, KY, the L&N Federal Credit Union Stadium serves as a vibrant hub for football dining and large-scale event catering. Within this dynamic environment, Sodexo seeks an experienced Executive Sous Chef to lead culinary operations and deliver exceptional food experiences during football events and other functions hosted at the stadium. This full-time role offers a salary range of $56,270 to $72,820 per year and involves working closely with both internal stakeholders and external clients to execute tailored dining programs.

As the Executive Sous Chef, you will be an integral part of a small but dynamic culinary team, providing hands-on guidance to ensure consistent high-quality food preparation, presentation, and service. You will assist the Executive Chef in overseeing all kitchen operations within the convention center setting of the stadium, contributing to menu planning and customization based on client preferences, seasonality, and dietary considerations. In addition, you will lead, mentor, and develop kitchen staff to promote a collaborative and efficient work environment.

Your responsibilities will include managing the entire catering process from concept through to execution, coordinating with event managers to align food service with event schedules, and maintaining strict adherence to health, safety, sanitation, and food handling regulations. You will also help with budget oversight activities such as cost control and waste reduction to support operational excellence. With your strong culinary knowledge across multiple cuisines and techniques, and your leadership capabilities, you will help ensure that large events, banquets, conventions, and hospitality services consistently deliver a seamless and enjoyable guest experience.

Job Requirements

  • Associate degree or equivalent experience
  • minimum 1 year related experience
