The role of Kitchen Supervisor at Levy involves managing the kitchen operations within an impressive 8,500-seat, state-of-the-art arena, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, creatively prepared food in a safe and sanitary environment. This position requires supervising kitchen personnel, coordinating food preparation activities, and maintaining cost-effective operations aligned with corporate standards. The Kitchen Supervisor plays a critical role in planning inventory, supporting cost control measures, and successfully implementing new culinary programs in partnership with marketing and culinary teams. This role demands a hands-on leader who understands large-scale, complex foodservice operations and excels at maintaining cleanliness, organization, and adherence to sanitation standards. Job Requirements

  • 3-5 years of relevant culinary experience
  • experience with Microsoft Office and computer systems
  • ability to manage high volume foodservice operations
  • strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • excellent communication and customer service skills
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • willingness to perform diverse kitchen duties

Job Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of relevant culinary experience
  • excellent interpersonal, customer service, and oral/written communication skills
  • knowledge of food cost and how it pertains to a kitchen, product and quality identification
  • must be experienced with computers, to include Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Power Point), Outlook, E-mail and the Internet
  • high volume, complex foodservice operations experience - highly desirable
  • institutional and batch cooking experiences helpful

Job Duties

  • Coordinates activities of kitchen personnel engaged in preparation of food service
  • ensures that high quality food items are creatively prepared and presented in a cost effective manner
  • assists in all phases of planning, ordering, inventory, and food preparation
  • supports the management of cost controls and control expenditures for the account
  • rolls out new culinary programs in conjunction with the marketing and culinary teams
  • supervises co-workers to ensure the cleanliness, organization, and overall sanitation of the kitchen
  • performs other duties as assigned
