The Executive Sous Chef position at Ingleside at Rock Creek in Washington, DC, represents an exciting opportunity to join an upscale continuing care retirement community renowned for its serene setting on 14 scenic, wooded, and landscaped acres alongside Rock Creek Park. This role specifically focuses on maintaining the finest quality in food preparation and service through hands-on leadership, daily cooking, and collaboration with the Executive Chef. The ideal candidate will possess previous cooking and catering experience, ideally from restaurant, corporate, or senior living environments, demonstrating a strong understanding of food safety, sanitation compliance, and the ability to manage and mentor kitchen staff effectively.
Working hours for this role are flexible, with a preferred schedule of 11 am to 8 pm, providing an excellent work-life balance while supporting the community's dynamic needs.
