Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- five years of supervisory experience in a restaurant or catering environment
- completion of technical or vocational school or three years of apprenticeship
- strong knowledge of meal preparation techniques
- familiarity with fine dining standards preferred
- excellent communication skills
- ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- flexibility to work evenings and weekends
Job Qualifications
- Five years of supervisory experience in a restaurant or catering environment with knowledge of meal preparation techniques
- technical or vocational school or three years apprenticeship required
- familiarity with fine dining standards and practices is preferred
- strong understanding of food handling, safety, and sanitation guidelines
- ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting while maintaining attention to detail
- excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team
- flexibility to work various shifts including evenings and weekends as needed
Job Duties
- Monitor the daily production of food, special events, and supervising all other dining services team members involved with food preparation
- prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to recipes and menu specifications
- ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and standards
- assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and customer preferences
- maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of food items
- collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours
- monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed
- participate in training new kitchen staff on cooking techniques and food safety practices
- adapt recipes for special dietary needs or preferences as required
