SodexoMAGIC is actively seeking an Executive Sous Chef for a high-profile corporate dining account located in Rahway, NJ. This role is a pivotal culinary leadership position that requires creativity, technical skill, and passion for delivering exceptional food quality. The Executive Sous Chef will be the driving force behind the daily kitchen operations, ensuring that every dish served meets the highest standards of presentation, taste, and innovation. Job Requirements
- Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
- minimum 2 years management experience
- minimum 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, or mall food courts
- ability to lead and motivate kitchen staff
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- strong organizational and multitasking skills
- proficiency in food cost control and inventory management
Job Qualifications

- minimum 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, or institutional food service
- advanced culinary skills
- strong leadership and team development ability

Job Duties
- Directs daily kitchen operations, ensuring exceptional food quality, presentation, and consistency across all dining platforms and stations
- supports the development and implementation of culinary trends and guest-focused menus
- trains and supervises the culinary team, fostering a high-performance culture rooted in creativity, accountability, and professional growth
- serves as the primary lead for food safety, sanitation, and regulatory compliance
- manages day-to-day food costs, inventory, and purchasing while overseeing production planning
