The culinary team at Bear Creek Golf Club is an integral part of this mission, delivering high-quality food and service that matches the upscale atmosphere of the club. The position available is a culinary leadership role, responsible for overseeing kitchen operations and ensuring the highest standards in food preparation, safety, and service timing are consistently met. This role requires an individual with strong leadership skills and a passion for culinary excellence to help develop and retain talented culinary staff. The person in this position will also ensure compliance with national culinary programs, organizational menu standards, and approved product listings, while maintaining rigorous sanitation practices in accordance with local and federal laws.
Working closely with other departments, this culinary leader will drive the creation of custom menus and feature items, staying responsive to guest requests and ensuring a memorable dining experience. Additionally, this role demands financial acumen, ensuring budgetary goals are met and that financial controls are consistently applied. An essential part of this position is the flexibility to work in any kitchen role as needed and to foster constant communication across departments for smooth operations and event coordination. Night, weekend, and holiday work will be expected, underlining the importance of a dedicated and adaptable candidate.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a lead culinary role
- Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays
- Food service permit as required by local or state government agency
- Must obtain ServSafe certification within 30 days of hire
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Strong communication and reasoning skills
- Proficient in profit/loss concepts and inventory management
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience in a lead culinary role
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelor’s degree, culinary degree or certificate preferred
- Strong attention to detail, planning and organizational skills
- Experience supervising others and leading a team preferred
- Good verbal and written communication skills
Job Duties
- Ensure compliance with the national programs such as Menu Program, Approved Product List and Inventory procedures
- Responsible for selection, development and retention of talented culinary staff
- Supervise employees in the daily operation of the kitchen to ensure quality and timeliness of product
- Ensure financial targets are being met and appropriate accounting procedures are being followed consistently
- Responds quickly to guest requests in a friendly manner and follows up to ensure guest satisfaction
- Ensure kitchen is clean and sanitary and is in compliance with all federal, state and local laws
- Required to work any position in the kitchen as needed
- Required to assist in creating menus, custom menus, features and more as needed
- Maintains constant communication between departments and keeps other departments informed about special programs and events
