The role of Back-of-House (BOH) Operations Manager at Edible Beats is a critical leadership position within the kitchen team, designed to oversee, coordinate, and support all activities related to the BOH staff and operations. This role requires a hands-on leader who embodies the ethos and culture of EB while ensuring all kitchen processes uphold the highest standards of quality, safety, and teamwork. The role carries a salary range of $75,000 to $85,000, demonstrating the company’s commitment to rewarding skilled and dedicated professionals.

This position is particularly exciting as it not only supports the day-to-day functioning of the restaurant but also plays an instrumental role in the opening of Edible Beats’ upcoming location. The BOH Operations Manager will help shape the kitchen program from the ground up, working closely with the Executive Chef and Operations team to innovate on menu development and operational standards. Responsibilities include maintaining labor and food cost efficiency, implementing prep systems and ordering protocols, and supporting the hiring and training of the BOH team.

More than just a managerial role, this position demands leadership by example. The successful candidate will lead kitchen staff through direct involvement in food preparation and line cooking, ensuring that service quality remains consistently exemplary. Moreover, the role calls for administrative savvy with tasks including recipe and costing management (using systems such as Meez and R365), scheduling, documentation, and vendor relations.

Edible Beats is also committed to providing a safe, welcoming, and professional environment where continuous learning and mentorship are encouraged. This role includes preparing the kitchen for launch, maintaining kitchen organization, and assisting with the upkeep and maintenance of equipment and facilities. The BOH Operations Manager will serve as a bridge between the Executive Chef and the rest of the back-of-house leadership, contributing to a smooth, efficient, and inspiring operation.

In this capacity, the manager will oversee quality control with daily line tastings and coaching, labor cost management, sanitation compliance, and fostering positive relationships with front-of-house teams.
