Job Requirements

  • College degree in culinary arts
  • Extensive experience in high volume professional kitchen
  • Proven ability to develop and execute creative seasonal menus
  • Strong leadership skills and experience managing culinary teams
  • Knowledge of food safety and allergen protocols
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to manage budgets and control costs
  • Availability to attend all required meetings and lead the culinary team
  • Physical ability to perform culinary and kitchen duties

Job Qualifications

  • College graduate in culinary arts
  • Extensive experience working in a high volume professional kitchen
  • Proven track record of creating creative menus reflecting seasonal availability
  • Strong leadership and team mentoring skills
  • Thorough knowledge of food allergens and guest safety procedures
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage kitchen cleanliness and safety standards

Job Duties

  • Attract retain and motivate the best culinary talent
  • Act in the absence of the executive chef to complete daily ordering using current par levels for all outlets employee cafeteria and banquets
  • Perform any function within the culinary department such as cook steward etc
  • Conduct daily walk throughs of the kitchen and recommend corrections repairs cleanliness concerns and improvements
  • Conduct daily meetings with the team to ensure preparation and communicate all pertinent information
  • Attend weekly food and beverage meetings banquet event order meetings leadership meetings monthly safety meetings and represent the culinary team
  • Manage finances analyze and control costs and manage the budget to achieve profitable operation
