The Executive Sous Chef at Quechan Casino Resort plays a critical role in the culinary team, contributing significantly to the resort's recognized dining experiences. Job Requirements

  • must be 21 years of age
  • must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screen
  • must pass a background investigation
  • must obtain and maintain gaming licenses in Arizona and California
  • high school diploma or GED
  • five or more years of progressive culinary experience
  • two years in supervisory role
  • formal culinary degree or equivalent experience

Job Qualifications

  • formal culinary degree or equivalent professional experience
  • proficiency in kitchen operations
  • strong knowledge of food safety standards

Job Duties

  • oversee daily kitchen operations and ensure high-quality food preparation
  • supervise and train kitchen staff to maintain performance standards
  • assist in menu development and recipe creation to enhance dining experiences
  • manage inventory and control food costs to maximize efficiency
  • step in as acting chef in the absence of the Executive Chef
  • enforce compliance with food safety regulations and standards
  • collaborate with culinary team to maintain consistency in presentation and quality
