The Executive Sous Chef position at Quechan Casino Resort represents a pivotal role within this dynamic environment. Reporting directly to the Executive Chef, the Executive Sous Chef is tasked with overseeing the daily operations of a high-volume, fast-paced kitchen. This role requires a balance of strong leadership, culinary expertise, and operational savvy. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all food preparation meets the highest standards of quality and presentation. Supervising and training kitchen staff is a key component of the position, as is assisting in menu development to keep the offerings innovative and aligned with guest preferences. Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or GED
  • five or more years of progressive culinary experience
  • at least two years in a supervisory or sous chef role
  • formal culinary degree or equivalent professional experience
  • proficiency in kitchen operations
  • strong knowledge of food safety standards
  • experience in menu development and recipe creation
  • must be 21 years of age
  • must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening
  • must pass background investigation
  • must obtain and maintain gaming licenses in Arizona and California
  • tribal preference given to qualified tribal members

Job Qualifications
