American Dining Creations specializes in delivering innovative and flexible dining solutions for corporate and educational dining partners, blending the strength of a national program with the agility of an industry leader. Their culinary philosophy, known as the Fresh Difference, emphasizes fresh, high-quality food offerings that cater to a diverse clientele. Beyond full café dining, their services include mobile ordering, catering, event management, and a grab-and-go program called My Fresh Market. The company places a strong emphasis on partnership, customization, and providing 24/7 support to ensure exceptional guest experiences.
The role of the Salaried Sous Chef at American Dining Creations is a vital position supporting the Executive Chef and culinary team in the execution of daily culinary operations. This role is designed for professionals who are passionate about culinary excellence and leadership in a fast-paced hospitality environment. The Sous Chef will work closely with the culinary staff to ensure that recipes are precisely followed, food safety standards are maintained, and daily operations run efficiently. This position requires a hands-on approach, where the Sous Chef may be required to cover shifts or food stations during peak operational hours, ensuring seamless service delivery.
In addition to culinary responsibilities, the Sous Chef will provide guidance and supervision to back-of-house staff, fostering a collaborative and motivated kitchen environment. They will also play a key role in maintaining kitchen cleanliness, managing production records, and ensuring that all equipment is properly maintained. Communication is central to the position, with daily meetings held with the Executive Chef or General Manager to discuss operations, plan upcoming events, and address any challenges. This role is ideal for candidates with prior leadership experience in culinary settings such as retail, hotels, business dining, or educational dining services, coupled with strong organizational and time management skills.
The position offers a competitive salary ranging from $60,000 to $70,000 per year, reflecting the importance and responsibility of the role within the company. Candidates who are proficient with Microsoft Office, as well as catering, ordering, and inventory systems, will excel in this role. Knowledge of local and state food safety regulations is mandatory, alongside the physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform tasks requiring standing, walking, and bending throughout the workday. American Dining Creations values ongoing training and development, encouraging the Sous Chef to grow professionally while contributing to the company’s high standards of culinary service. The company supports its employees through weekly pay schedules, a 401K plan with company match, employee assistance programs, and comprehensive medical, prescription, dental, and vision plans with FSA/HSA options. Bonus programs are also available for eligible positions, adding further incentive to join this dynamic team.
