Known for its exceptional service standards and commitment to creating unforgettable experiences for guests, The Ritz-Carlton prides itself on delivering luxury, comfort, and personalized care in a welcoming environment. The Boston location upholds these traditions, offering guests a refined stay combined with the unique charm of the city. As an employer, Marriott International strongly values diversity and inclusion, providing equal opportunities for all individuals regardless of background, disability, veteran status, or other protected characteristics by law. The company’s culture emphasizes creativity, kindness, compassion, and team empowerment, which are essential to the success and satisfaction of all associates.
This temporary full-time position, available until the end of December 2026, is focused on Reservations within the hotel. With a competitive hourly pay rate of $31.20, the role is designed for individuals committed to maintaining the high "Gold Standards" synonymous with The Ritz-Carlton brand. The position is non-management and requires the ability to handle a variety of customer-facing responsibilities including processing room reservations, modifications, and cancellations via phone, fax, or email. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to customer service and sales. This role is located on-site, requiring a professional appearance and adherence to company policies and procedures.
The Reservations Associate will play a critical role in ensuring guest satisfaction by carefully identifying guest needs, recommending appropriate room types, explaining policies such as guarantees, special rates, and cancellations, and accurately managing reservation records. This role requires familiarity with using reservation management systems to input and access data, verify room availability and rates, and maintain updated room blocks for groups. Additionally, the associate will handle special requests, support VIP guest reservations, and resolve any booking issues by liaising with appropriate departments. Beyond the technical skills, the position emphasizes the importance of creating a welcoming environment through genuine appreciation and courtesy, especially toward guests with disabilities.
Part of the role involves upholding hotel standards for uniform, appearance, confidentiality, and property protection while working collaboratively to support team goals. The Reservations Associate is expected to demonstrate professional communication skills over the phone and in writing, maintain accurate documentation, and contribute positively to workplace relationships. Physical demands are minimal but include the capability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 10 pounds. Marriott International and The Ritz-Carlton are dedicated to fostering a work environment where employees feel valued, motivated, and encouraged to grow personally and professionally. Joining this team means being part of a globally recognized brand committed to delivering luxury hospitality matched with respect and care for both employees and guests.
