Job Description

Pinkerton is a global leader in enterprise risk management and security services with over 170 years of experience in the industry. As one of the longest-standing and most respected security firms worldwide, Pinkerton provides specialized solutions tailored to meet the unique needs of each client. The company prides itself on integrity, vigilance, and excellence, which guide every aspect of its operations. With a diverse and inclusive workforce, Pinkerton embraces a wide range of backgrounds and perspectives to enrich its network of industry experts and enhance the quality of its protective services.

At Pinkerton, the role of an Executive Protection Agent is both critical and highly specialized. Assigned to high-profile clients, these professionals are responsible for managing risks associated with the safety and security of individuals through comprehensive advance planning, threat vulnerability assessments, and real-time protective operations. This position demands a high level of discretion, professionalism, and skill, as agents must navigate complex and dynamic environments to ensure their client's safety. The role may require the ability to perform armed or unarmed protection assignments based on the specific program and regulatory requirements, necessitating compliance with various licenses and permits.

Executive Protection Agents at Pinkerton are expected to represent the company’s core values in all interactions, maintain client confidentiality, and exhibit sound judgment under pressure. Their duties include conducting detailed assessments of travel routes and event venues to identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies. Agents provide close protection services for clients and their family members during movements and appointments, employing evasive and defensive driving techniques as necessary. They also coordinate closely with other members of the protection team, including executive drivers and local resources, to maintain seamless protective coverage.

In addition to protective tasks, these agents support client needs with professionalism and responsiveness, balancing security with the highest level of client service. They must be adept at de-escalating potentially volatile situations, responding to emergencies, and performing medical interventions when required. Furthermore, accurate and thorough documentation such as incident reports, suspicious activity logs, and medical treatment records are essential to maintain situational awareness and accountability within the protection program.

The role requires physical and mental readiness, including the ability to perform in high-stress situations and maintain composure. Agents regularly use computers and office equipment, may need to lift small objects, and must be able to walk or stand for extended periods. The job also demands availability around the clock and adaptability to travel domestically or internationally as needed. As Pinkerton values inclusive employment practices, it encourages candidates from diverse backgrounds to apply and contribute to its mission of providing world-class executive protection services.

This position is offered with a competitive salary of $60.00 per hour, reflecting the high level of expertise and responsibility required. Pinkerton also offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes employer-paid life and accidental death and dismemberment insurance, medical, dental, vision, flexible spending accounts, and retirement savings plans, among others. Joining Pinkerton as an Executive Protection Agent means becoming part of a historic legacy committed to excellence, client safety, and industry leadership.
