Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in culinary arts preferred
- Minimum 4 years of pastry kitchen management experience
- Proven leadership skills supervising large teams
- Strong knowledge of baking procedures and food safety regulations
- Ability to innovate and drive menu development
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Effective communication and team collaboration skills
- Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Commitment to maintaining hygiene and safety standards under HACCP, OSHA, FDA guidelines
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in culinary arts preferred
- Certificate in culinary arts, pastry-making, or related field is a plus
- Minimum of 4 years managing a high-volume pastry/bakery kitchen
- Proven leadership supervising teams of 10 or more
- Expertise in product quality, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction
- Strong knowledge of baking procedures and kitchen equipment
- Familiarity with catering industry trends advantageous
- Detail-oriented, organized, and self-motivated
- Ability to reduce waste while meeting production deadlines
- Hands-on approach with strong sense of urgency
- Flexible availability for various shifts
- Knowledge of HACCP, OSHA, FDA, and food safety standards
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Job Duties
- Manage pastry production schedules, ensuring all tasks are completed accurately, on time, and aligned with quality standards
- Sustain optimal food costs through strategic procurement and waste reduction initiatives
- Implement innovative baking techniques in preparation, tempering, baking, and decorating
- Drive menu innovation by analyzing seasonal ingredients, market trends, and customer preferences
- Lead and mentor the pastry department, fostering productivity and creativity
- Oversee training and development of team members and ensure consistent performance
- Ensure rigorous compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations including HACCP, OSHA, and FDA guidelines
