The role of Executive Pastry Chef at Hilton goes beyond traditional kitchen management. Job Requirements

  • Culinary degree or equivalent professional qualification
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a pastry chef role preferably in luxury or high-volume settings
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management experience
  • Strong understanding of pastry production techniques and food presentation standards
  • Ability to create innovative menu items
  • Excellent communication and guest service skills
  • Knowledge of health safety sanitation and alcohol awareness regulations

Job Duties

  • Direct pastry operations overseeing preparation and production of pastries desserts and baked goods ensuring high standards of food quality presentation cost controls and profitability
  • Enhance menu offerings by partnering with the Food and Beverage Director to develop new pastry offerings and seasonal menus based on current food trends and regional tastes
  • Delight guests by engaging with guests and clients to assess satisfaction address concerns and implement improvements to enhance the pastry experience
  • Monitor financial performance through budget management forecasting and reporting to ensure financial targets are met and operations align with hotel goals
  • Ensure operational efficiency by overseeing pastry kitchen systems processes and workflows to guarantee smooth operations
  • Inspire and develop the team through supervision support performance monitoring coaching and fostering a positive work environment
