Caesars Entertainment is seeking a highly skilled and visionary Executive Pastry Chef to join its Central Bakery and Pastry Kitchen at Caesars Palace, a premier luxury resort famed for its extravagant offerings. This role is perfect for a passionate pastry professional with extensive fine dining experience and a demonstrated talent for leading high-volume, high-end pastry kitchens with creativity and operational excellence. The Executive Pastry Chef will oversee the production and quality of pastry items across prestigious outlets, including the Dominique Ansel Bakery at Caesars Palace, Dominique Ansel Marché at Paris Las Vegas, and VIP amenities, managing a team of six chefs and 23 bakers/pâtissiers. The chef will be responsible for crafting seasonal and innovative pastry, bakery, and viennoiserie menus in partnership with the Dominique Ansel team, ensuring every product aligns with the highest standards of quality, safety, and presentation. Daily production is robust, with 2,000 to 2,500 items crafted, demanding meticulous attention to detail and operational acumen.

This leadership role involves comprehensive oversight including labor management, scheduling, inventory control, food cost monitoring, and quality assurance. The ideal candidate will foster a culture of excellence and accountability through coaching and mentoring, supporting continuous improvement and innovation across the pastry program. This position requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced, luxury environment, preferably with experience in Michelin-level restaurants, renowned bakery concepts, or similarly prestigious settings. Key certifications such as Nevada Food Handler’s and Serve Safe are required, along with a culinary degree or formal apprenticeship.

Job Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Minimum 5 years of pastry leadership experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in a comparable Executive Pastry Chef role
  • Experience in a fast-paced high-volume operation
  • Culinary degree or formal apprenticeship preferred
  • Nevada Food Handler's Certification
  • Serve Safe certification

Job Duties

  • Lead all aspects of pastry and bakery production ensuring exceptional quality consistency and execution
  • Oversee daily operations including scheduling labor management ordering inventory food cost controls and quality assurance
  • Develop and execute seasonal pastry bakery and viennoiserie offerings in collaboration with the Dominique Ansel team
  • Train mentor and develop a high-performing pastry team while fostering a culture of excellence and accountability
  • Maintain the highest standards of food safety sanitation presentation and product consistency
  • Partner with culinary and front-of-house leadership to deliver exceptional guest experience
  • Drive operational efficiencies productivity improvements and continuous innovation across the program
