Job Requirements

  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in a luxury/lifestyle hotel, fine dining with at least 3 years in a leadership role
  • Expertise in classical and modern pastry techniques
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Excellent communication abilities
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-service environment
  • Proficiency in computer systems including Opera, GoConcierge, HotSOS, Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Ability to multitask and maintain attention to detail
  • Physical ability to stand and walk for an eight-hour shift
  • Ability to handle stressful situations effectively
  • Must be able to twist, tow, reach, bend, climb and carry objects as necessary

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in a luxury/lifestyle hotel, fine dining, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
  • Proven expertise in classical and modern pastry techniques
  • Strong leadership, team development, and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and time management abilities
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, customer service driven environment
  • Proven team leader with a high level of energy and motivation with a proven track record of living the company's values
  • An intermediate to proficient understanding of computer systems such as Opera, GoConcierge, HotSOS, Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook is preferred
  • Enter and locate work related information using computers and/or point of sale systems
  • Ability to spend extended lengths of time viewing a computer screen
  • Possess a gracious, friendly, and fun demeanor
  • Ability to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment and have a high level attention to detail
  • Must be able to stand or walk a minimum eight-hour shift
  • Must be able observant and quick to respond to various situations while also multitasking and handling stressful situations
  • Must be able to twist, tow (push or pull), reach, bend climb and carry objects as necessary

Job Duties

  • Manage production and presentation for all pastry items to ensure consistency, quality, and aesthetic excellence
  • Lead, train, and mentor the pastry team to maintain high culinary standards
  • Collaborate with Executive Chef and F&B team to develop seasonal offers and special events menus
  • Oversee daily operations of the pastry kitchen, including scheduling, inventory, food costing, and ordering of supplies
  • Ensure compliance with hygiene, health, and safety regulations in accordance with Delano Miami Beach standards and local laws
  • Control labor and food costs through effective planning and waste management
  • Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and source premium ingredients
  • Participate in culinary promotions, guest engagements, and media events when required
