Job Requirements
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in hospitality sales, event management, or a related field
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
- Ability to execute confidentiality agreements
- Experience in a full-service hotel environment preferred
- Proficiency in hotel systems and Microsoft Office
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills

- Strong mathematical and analytical skills, including the ability to calculate room blocks, average rates, and forecasts
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
- Ability to execute confidentiality agreements (non-disclosure and non-compete)
- Experience in a full-service hotel environment preferred
- Proficiency in hotel systems (CI/TY or similar) and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) preferred
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and client service skills preferred
Job Duties
- Deliver exceptional experiences for planners by delivering a one-stop sales and detail process, with a focus on building long-term client relationships and repeat business
- Work with groups of 50 or less both from to prepare sales-related documents throughout the sales process (e.g., proposals, contracts, banquet event orders)
- Manage all phases of group business, including pre-event planning, on-site execution, billing and post-event follow-up
- Coordinate all event details, including room blocks, meeting space, catering, audio-visual needs, and special concessions
- Monitor and enforce contractual agreements, including key dates, cutoff deadlines, billing arrangements, and concessions
- Respond promptly and professionally to all internal and external communications, representing The Westin Raleigh-Durham Airport with clarity and consistency
- Prepare and distribute group resumes and banquet event orders (BEOs)
- Communicate all group-specific details, including rooming lists, history and event specifications to hotel departments in a timely manner
- Develop in-depth knowledge of the hotel’s food & beverage offerings, pricing, and presentation standards
- Support revenue generation by assisting in the sale of guest rooms and banquet services, as directed
- Accurately forecast group rooms and food & beverage revenue for assigned business
