Job Duties

  • Solicit, negotiate and generate contracted revenues from potential clients that meet criteria established in the hotel business plan
  • Employ revenue management techniques to present proposals
  • Prepare and present Requests for Proposals so that both client and hotel receive good value
  • Prospect for new business via phone calls, outside sales calls, community functions, internet prospecting, supplier partnerships, trade journals
  • Work with sales team to convert leads into successful bookings ensuring maximum revenue
  • Prepare and distribute event orders detailing terms and conditions
  • Serve as main point of contact for clients booking meetings and corporate events with Food/Beverage
  • Collaborate with clients to understand needs and provide customized solutions
  • Provide expert advice on event planning, meeting space, audio-visual requirements, catering and logistics
  • Oversee execution of meetings and events from pre-arrival through post-event follow-up
  • Coordinate with internal departments to ensure all client specifications are met
  • Ensure timely, efficient setup of meeting rooms including seating, technology and special requests
  • Actively promote and upsell additional hotel services
  • Maintain communication with clients before, during and after events
  • Proactively troubleshoot and resolve event-related concerns
  • Ensure accurate and timely billing
  • Maintain organized records of communications, details and contracts
  • Develop detailed event itineraries and timelines
  • Coordinate travel arrangements and off-site activities
  • Gather client feedback and follow up to encourage repeat business
