Job Description

The Meritage Resort & Spa is a premier luxury resort known for offering exceptional guest experiences through its beautiful accommodations, exquisite dining options, and world-class amenities. Situated in a picturesque location, the resort is part of the Pacific Hospitality Group, a family-focused hospitality company dedicated to long-term growth and value creation by providing memorable experiences and fostering strong community connections. Pacific Hospitality Group operates with a strong set of guiding principles including integrity, compliance, customer focus, humility, and respect, which shape every aspect of the guest experience and employee culture.

The Executive Meeting Manager (EMM) role at The Meritage Resort & Spa is a critical position focused on maximizing group revenue through the effective solicitation, management, and conversion of small-to-mid-size group business ranging from 10 to 54 rooms. This role requires a proactive individual skilled in high-volume lead handling, short-term bookings, and strategic selling techniques. The EMM acts as a bridge between sales, revenue management, and operations teams, ensuring seamless execution of group bookings while aligning closely with the property’s overall revenue strategy.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing incoming group leads promptly and professionally, driving conversions through expert negotiation, and actively seeking new business opportunities through outbound prospecting and client outreach. You will build and maintain lasting relationships with corporate clients, third-party planners, and repeat group accounts by ensuring consistent communication and accurate record-keeping within CRM systems. Collaboration with internal teams such as Revenue Management, Reservations, and Event Management is essential to facilitate smooth turnovers and optimize group experiences.

The position demands strong organization skills, a results-driven approach, and the ability to effectively manage a fast-paced workload while maintaining attention to detail. Managing the sales pipeline, tracking lead activity and conversion metrics, supporting forecasting activities, and contributing to the overall revenue strategy are key aspects of the role. Additionally, monitoring market trends and competitor activities ensures you remain adaptive and strategic in your approach to group sales.

Ideal candidates will possess a bachelor’s degree in hospitality, business, or related fields, with 2 to 5 years of group sales experience in the hotel or resort industry, preferably within luxury or resort settings. Familiarity with CRM platforms such as Delphi or Salesforce and hotel systems is strongly preferred. This role is well suited for someone with excellent communication and organizational skills, a strong customer service orientation, and a proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding revenue goals.

The Meritage Resort & Spa and Pacific Hospitality Group value diversity and inclusive employment practices. They are committed to providing equal opportunity to all employees and applicants, fostering a welcoming environment free of discrimination or harassment. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing and reputable company dedicated to excellence in hospitality and long-term professional development.
