Tenaya Lodge at Yosemite, located in Fish Camp, California, is a 4-diamond resort situated just outside the south entrance of Yosemite National Park. Surrounded by majestic granite peaks and lush forests, the resort offers guests a memorable experience that blends luxury with the natural beauty of one of California's most iconic destinations. Delaware North is currently hiring an Executive Housekeeper to join the Tenaya Lodge team. This full-time role offers a competitive salary ranging between $70,304 and $88,400 per year with additional performance-based bonuses or uncapped sales incentives. Relocation assistance and temporary housing are available to help facilitate the transition for the new hire. The Executive Housekeeper plays a vital leadership role by overseeing and managing the housekeeping team responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and comfort of the entire resort property. This includes ensuring that all guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized in compliance with established standards.
As the leader of the housekeeping department, the Executive Housekeeper is responsible for hiring, training, scheduling, and evaluating housekeeping staff, ensuring the team operates efficiently and effectively. Managing supply inventories, controlling expenses, and maintaining payroll accuracy are key administrative components of this role. The Executive Housekeeper also conducts regular inspections to uphold quality standards and implements corrective actions when necessary. Additionally, this position requires a hands-on approach, including the ability to operate company vehicles to facilitate property oversight.
This role demands a candidate with a minimum of five years of management experience in housekeeping or related fields, a working knowledge of cleaning tools, solvents, and safety procedures, and a valid driver’s license. Physical requirements include frequent standing, walking, stair climbing, bending, and the occasional lifting of items up to 50 pounds. Visual acuity to inspect cleanliness is also essential. The position involves working various shifts including days, holidays, evenings, and weekends as needed.

- Working knowledge of various cleaning utensils dryers washers tools fixtures and cleaning solvents
- Knowledge of how to use Material Safety Data Sheets for cleaning solvents

- Must possess a valid driver’s license

Job Duties
- Lead and manage a team of housekeepers including hiring training scheduling and performance management
- Maintain an inventory of supplies order and distribute supplies and equipment
- Ensure all reports orders and projects are completed
- Monitor and control expenses and payroll while ensuring proper resources
- Conduct housekeeping inspections and take corrective action as needed
- Ability to drive company vehicles throughout the property
