Job Description
Delaware North Parks and Resorts is a renowned hospitality and food service company that prides itself on creating exceptional guest experiences in iconic locations. With a legacy spanning over 100 years, Delaware North is a global family-owned business operating in a variety of sectors including sports, gaming, and hospitality. One of its premier properties, Tenaya Lodge at Yosemite, is a 4-diamond resort located just outside the south entrance to Yosemite National Park in Fish Camp, California. Surrounded by breathtaking natural beauty including majestic trees and granite peaks, the resort offers guests a unique blend of outdoor adventure and luxurious accommodations. Tenaya Lodge also features Waybound, a collection of modern cabins and cottages providing a private retreat experience with full access to the resort's amenities. Team members at Tenaya Lodge are integral to delivering a hospitality experience deeply influenced by the outdoors and the stunning environment of California's iconic national park.
The Executive Housekeeper role at Tenaya Lodge is a vital leadership position responsible for managing and directing the housekeeping team to ensure the resort environment meets the highest cleanliness and sanitation standards for guests. This full-time position offers competitive pay ranging from $70,304 to $88,400 per year with an annual bonus plan based on individual, company, and location performance, including a role-based uncapped sales incentive plan. This role comes with relocation assistance and temporary housing options for candidates who may need assistance transitioning to the area.
As the Executive Housekeeper, you will oversee all housekeeping operations, including hiring and training staff, scheduling work shifts, managing inventory and supplies, and maintaining detailed reports. You will be responsible for adherence to budget and payroll control, ensuring that resources are properly allocated and used efficiently throughout the property. Inspection of guest rooms and public areas to maintain quality standards will be a routine part of your duties, along with taking corrective action when necessary. You will also operate company vehicles within the resort as required. This position demands a hands-on leader with a deep understanding of cleaning procedures, safety protocols including the use of Material Safety Data Sheets for solvents, and a commitment to guest satisfaction.
Ideal candidates will have a minimum of five years of supervisory experience, a valid driver’s license, and be at least 21 years old. While no formal degree is required, practical knowledge of cleaning equipment, tools, and materials is essential. Physical stamina is important as the role requires frequent standing, walking, climbing, bending, and occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds. Team members at Tenaya Lodge enjoy a supportive work atmosphere and opportunities for professional development within Delaware North’s extensive network. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance; a 401(k) plan with company match; paid vacation and holidays; parental leave; and tuition reimbursement. Tenaya Lodge is committed to equal employment opportunity, fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace where all employees can thrive. Joining Delaware North means being part of a global hospitality legacy dedicated to providing unforgettable experiences in great places. This is an exceptional chance for a motivated and experienced housekeeping executive to contribute significantly to the guest experience at a premier national park resort while growing their career in hospitality management.
