The Four Seasons Yacht I is a spectacular floating extension of the brand’s luxury tradition, featuring 95 expansive suites and guest rooms with panoramic ocean views through floor-to-ceiling windows, complemented by private terraces. The yacht presents a luxurious and intimate environment with a 1:1 guest-to-staff ratio ensuring personalized attention. The role of Shipboard Executive Housekeeper on the Four Seasons Yacht I is a prestigious and critical position requiring dedication to the highest standards of cleanliness, organization, and guest service excellence. This position entails overall responsibility for the cleanliness, maintenance, and service quality of all guest suites, public areas, and crew areas aboard the vessel. The successful candidate will lead a team that upholds the luxurious nature of the Four Seasons brand by ensuring every detail is attended to meticulously, creating an environment where guests can relax and enjoy a flawless experience.

This role is ideal for a professional with extensive experience in luxury hospitality, particularly in shipboard or cruise line environments. The Executive Housekeeper must manage operations with precision and care, overseeing the smooth functioning of laundry and linen systems, preparing suites ahead of guest arrivals, conducting regular inspections, and maintaining inventory and supplies. Training and supervising housekeeping staff is a key component, ensuring that all team members comply with company standards and operational procedures. The position requires strong leadership skills, excellent organizational abilities, and an outgoing personality to foster a motivated and cohesive team.

Emphasis is placed on the ability to adapt to the dynamic schedule of a cruise environment, working under pressure while maintaining a consistently high level of service. The role also demands fluency in English, strong interpersonal communication skills, and the capacity to interact effectively with senior management and owner representatives. Computer proficiency, particularly with MS Office and onboard systems such as Otalio and MXP, is required to facilitate operational efficiency.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of five years related experience as an executive housekeeper in luxury hotels and/or onboard cruise line
  • Must have previous luxury sea going experience
  • Familiar with basic shipboard operation
  • Fluent in written and spoken english and in additional language(s)
  • Knowledge of general office practices, procedures and equipment
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to interact with senior-level management and owner representatives
  • Adherence to specific scheduled working hours yet being flexible to operational requirements
  • Ability to interact professional in an international team
  • Capable to perform assigned duties under pressure (time constraints) and in a constant changing environment

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Maintain the highest standard of cleanliness in all guest suites, officers and crew cabins, and crew areas
  • Maintain cleanliness of all indoor areas of the ship
  • Responsible for the smooth operation of the ship laundry and linen room operation
  • Ensure suites are ready to receive passengers prior to the start of each embarkation
  • Ensure that daily inspection of guest suites and public spaces are carried out and that companys high standards of cleanliness and passenger service are maintained throughout the vessel
  • Responsible for the distribution and proper storage of guest luggage and off loading at the end of the cruise
  • Ensure that all staff are fully trained to the outlined company brand standards and sequence of service
  • Include operational procedures SOP, general ship and up to date voyage/cruise information
  • Supervise the laundry operation to ensure that all laundry activities are carried out efficiently and in accordance with company standard
  • Maintain current inventories of all items required for the proper fulfillment of assigned duties within the housekeeping department
  • Ensure that all requisitions are closely monitored, and waste is minimized
  • Ensure that all housekeeping areas are properly staffed, equipped up to required par levels and set up
  • Maintain cleanliness and stocking of all pantries and lockers
  • Report any maintenance issues
  • Responsible to order replenishment stock of all items used in housekeeping dept
  • Ensure monthly ships inventory of all uniforms, linen, and amenities are carried out
  • Create ship inspection report once a month from inspection with senior officers
  • Supervise the housekeeping supervisor in a function to keep the flower and plants program well maintained throughout the vessel
  • Ensure that the housekeeping team follows departmental procedures and company guidelines to provide consistency of service
  • Conduct regular inspections of suites, public areas, crew cabins and crew areas
  • Train, supervise and apply corrective actions regarding public health programs within the department
  • Ensure periodic deep cleaning for all areas
