The Executive Housekeeper must have expertise in caring for fine finishes, antiques, artwork, silver, crystal, and specialty textiles, which all require specialized maintenance practices. Furthermore, the role involves supporting a range of events including official functions, donor receptions, VIP visits, and other special occasions hosted at the residence.

This dynamic position requires the Executive Housekeeper to work collaboratively with the University’s First Family, Catering, Facilities, and external vendors ensuring seamless event execution from early planning stages through to post-event cleanup. In the absence of the House Manager, the Executive Housekeeper supervises residence operations and event activities to ensure consistent high standards are upheld. Key responsibilities include maintaining a comprehensive cleaning schedule tailored to all areas of the residence such as public rooms, private quarters, guest rooms, service areas, porches, and outdoor living spaces. The Executive Housekeeper must plan and manage supplies, equipment, and staff needs efficiently while communicating effectively both orally and in writing.
