The Executive Housekeeper at Hyatt Regency Minneapolis plays a crucial leadership role, overseeing all housekeeping operations and ensuring the highest cleanliness standards throughout the property. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Three years or more of progressive hotel rooms management experience
  • Demonstrated customer service skills
  • Leadership experience in a hospitality environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to supervise and mentor a diverse staff
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Must comply with safety and security standards

Job Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with people of cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds
  • Three years or more of progressive hotel rooms management experience, typically with Hyatt
  • Service oriented style with professional presentation skills
  • Possess strengths such as high energy, entrepreneurial spirit, motivational leadership, effective communication, exceptional customer service skills, and ability to improve the bottom line
  • Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal and administrative skills

Job Duties

  • Responsible for short and long term planning and the management of the hotel’s housekeeping operations
  • Develop and recommend the budget, labor cost plans and objectives and manage within those approved plans
  • Have a solid understanding of housekeeping and laundry supplies and pars
  • Teach employees the importance of greeting guests and courteously solving guest requests
  • Ensure that the inspection program is consistently maintained
  • Assure all safety and security policies and procedures are followed
  • Work closely with all other departments
  • Inspect some rooms daily
  • Experience purchasing linens and housekeeping supplies
  • Stay current on latest housekeeping and laundry technology
  • Work closely with vendors to assure proper pricing, delivery, and maintenance
  • Supervise and mentor multilingual and multicultural staff
  • Ensure OSHA and ADA policies are adhered to
  • Manage turndown service and special needs of VIP guests and foreign dignitaries
  • Insure proper staffing levels for customer service goals
  • Coach and counsel employees to reflect Hyatt service standards and procedures
