We are currently seeking a talented and motivated Housekeeping Manager to oversee and elevate our housekeeping operations. This role is pivotal in maintaining the highest cleanliness and safety standards within guest rooms, public areas, and hotel grounds. The Housekeeping Manager will be responsible for managing a diverse team of housekeeping associates, ensuring they are trained, scheduled, coached, and supported to consistently uphold brand and hotel standards. This leadership position demands a keen eye for detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to handle guest inquiries and concerns with professionalism and efficiency.

As a Housekeeping Manager, you will conduct regular inspections to ensure all areas meet cleanliness, appearance, and safety criteria. You will also develop and enforce policies and procedures aimed at streamlining departmental functions and improving guest satisfaction. Your leadership will directly influence guest service scores and operational efficiency. The role requires practical understanding and implementation of safety standards, including MSDS and OSHA regulations, promoting a safe and healthy working environment.

Additionally, the position involves operational administrative duties such as preparing schedules based on occupancy, managing inventory and supply orders, completing requisite paperwork, and coordinating with vendors. You will act as a vital communication link between guests, staff, and management, resolving complaints and answering inquiries related to hotel policies and services.

Job Duties

  • Interview select train schedule coach and support associates ensuring they perform in accordance with established brand or hotel standards and consistent with HHM core values
  • Inspect guest rooms public areas and grounds for cleanliness appearance and safety
  • Answer inquiries pertaining to hotel policies and services and resolve guests complaints and concerns
  • Observe and monitor staff performance to ensure efficient operations and adherence to policies and procedures
  • Prepare schedules based upon occupancy and assign duties to workers and schedule shifts or notify vendor of weekly staffing needs
  • Take inventory and submit periodic inventory orders to insure supplies are purchased in a timely manner
  • Prepare required paperwork pertaining to departmental functions
  • Be aware of and communicate guest service scores to drive improvement and higher guest satisfaction
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures for the operation of the department or the hotel
  • Follow sustainability guidelines and practices related to HHM’s EarthView program
  • Practice safe work habits follow MSDS and OSHA standards wear protective safety equipment and participate in safety committees as directed
  • Perform other duties as requested by management
