Kana Hotel Group is currently seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to join its team. This role is vital in maintaining the cleanliness and overall aesthetic appeal of the hotel, ensuring guests enjoy a comfortable, immaculate environment. As a Housekeeping Supervisor, you will oversee housekeeping and laundry staff, managing scheduling, training, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions. Your responsibilities also include maintaining inventory, managing contract labor, evaluating equipment, and collaborating with management on budget development and operational goals.

This position plays a crucial role in upholding the hotel’s standards for cleanliness, guest satisfaction, and operational efficiency. The Housekeeping Supervisor is tasked with maintaining high-quality standards throughout guest rooms, public areas, storage spaces, and laundry facilities. You will ensure staff productivity aligns with labor cost goals and establish effective cost control systems for staffing and supplies.

In addition to administrative and operational duties, this role requires a hands-on approach to quality assurance, including preparing for audits, evaluating results, and implementing improvements to meet brand standards. The Housekeeping Supervisor will work closely with the front office by providing accurate room status reports, contributing to seamless guest service delivery.

The role demands flexibility, especially in working nights, weekends, and holidays, to accommodate the hospitality industry's dynamic nature. Candidates for this position should bring a high school diploma or GED, combined with extensive housekeeping experience in large, multi-use facilities and proven supervisory capabilities. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in all aspects of housekeeping in a large, multi-use facility
  • Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be flexible with working nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Supervise housekeeping and laundry staff including hiring recommendations, terminations, disciplinary actions, performance evaluations, training and development
  • Schedule staff according to labor standards and forecasted occupancy and assign daily boards to housekeeping team members
  • Manage contract labor relationships and needs, including training for contract labor positions
  • Evaluate housekeeping equipment and coordinate repairs or replacements
  • Assist General Manager in the development and monitoring of the department's annual budget
  • Maintain room quality and cleanliness throughout hotel areas including guest rooms, storage, laundry, and public spaces
  • Compile and report accurate status of guest rooms to front office
  • Oversee all housekeeping duties ensuring productivity and labor cost goals are met
  • Establish and maintain cost control systems for staffing, linen inventories, and cleaning supplies
  • Conduct inventories of linen, supplies, and equipment
  • order and receive supplies to maintain adequate inventory levels
  • Ensure quality services meet guest needs and enhance guest relations
  • Prepare for audits, evaluate results, and collaborate with management for improvements
  • Other duties as assigned
