Job Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • Four-year degree or culinary degree preferred
  • Minimum of 4 years culinary management experience in a high-volume environment with focus on barbecue and/or Tex-Mex cuisine
  • Expertise in smoking techniques, pit equipment maintenance, butchery skills, and high-volume kitchen management
  • Proficient in kitchen sanitation, safety standards, and inspection preparations
  • Strong leadership, mentoring, communication, and time management skills
  • Must lead by example and foster a positive and motivated work environment
  • Valid ServSafe certification is a plus
  • Must have stamina to work up to 55 hours per week
  • Must be able to work in a standing position for up to 10-12 hours
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Lead daily kitchen operations and team performance
  • Train and mentor sous chefs and back-of-house staff
  • Maintain top-tier quality and consistency of smoked meats
  • Oversee inventory, food cost, preparation, sanitation, and safety standards
  • Collaborate with front-of-house leadership to deliver a seamless guest experience
