Delaware North is currently seeking an Executive Chef to lead the culinary operations at Wuksachi Lodge, located in the breathtaking Sequoia National Park, California. This full-time, year-round role offers the unique opportunity to work in a stunning natural environment while crafting memorable dining experiences for guests. Wuksachi Lodge is nestled within the giant Redwood forests, a setting that provides a one-of-a-kind working environment for hospitality professionals committed to excellence and sustainability. The Executive Chef will be responsible for overseeing all kitchen and culinary activities, ensuring high-quality food preparation, team leadership, and operational excellence. This includes hiring, training, and supervising kitchen staff, maintaining recipes and portion specifications, and managing food budgets and purchasing plans. The successful candidate will harness their culinary expertise alongside strong financial acumen to optimize kitchen operations and enhance guest satisfaction. The position offers a competitive salary range of $78,400 to $105,800 annually, supplemented by an annual bonus plan based on individual, company, and location performance. Relocation assistance and manager housing are available to support candidates willing to move to this unique location. The job requires flexibility with scheduling, as well as the ability to drive company vehicles on the property.

Job Requirements
- Minimum two years’ experience as an executive chef in a high-volume industry-leading concept
- five years’ culinary experience in established restaurants and catering companies
- ServSafe and food safety handler certifications required
- strong financial and computer skills
- experience working with and understanding of P&Ls and budgeting
- knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite programs and point-of-sale (POS) systems
- ability to work a flexible schedule to accommodate business needs
- must possess a valid driver’s license

Job Duties
- Hire, train, and mobilize kitchen and service teams
- develop and maintain recipes, portion specifications, and standard preparation procedures
- determine purchasing specifications and budgetary allotments for all menu items
- prepare operational reports highlighting progress and adverse trends, making recommendations for success
- maintain knowledge of and compliance with all company and health department policies, regulations, and standards
- possess working knowledge of company invoice tracking, labor tracking, schedule preparation, food cost management, labor cost management, inventory control, and hiring, counseling, and termination policies
- ability to drive company vehicles throughout property
