The Executive Restaurant Chef role is a critical leadership position at The Kimpton Cottonwood Hotel, responsible for overseeing all culinary operations across several vibrant outlets. This includes the upscale Committee Chophouse steakhouse, the versatile Orleans Room serving breakfast to dinner in a lively setting, and the seasonal Pool Club Food Truck, which adds an innovative and engaging dimension to the hotel’s culinary offerings. Job Requirements

  • 4+ years kitchen management experience
  • 5+ years cooking experience
  • college degree or certification in culinary field or hospitality field preferred
  • good working knowledge of sanitation standards and proper preparation and presentation of food and beverage
  • ability to understand financial goals and accomplish them
  • ability to communicate effectively with the public and other team members
  • proven ability to effectively lead and train a diverse workforce
  • willingness to set a high standard in the kitchen through leading by example
  • ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 100 pounds
  • ability to work extended hours when business necessitates in humid and/or extreme temperatures

Job Qualifications

  • good working knowledge of sanitation standards and proper preparation and presentation of food and beverage
