We are currently seeking a Chef Manager who will play a pivotal role in delivering outstanding culinary experiences and exceptional customer service. Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Chef Manager will take a hands-on approach to leading and developing the kitchen team. This role requires a blend of technical culinary expertise, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to maintaining high standards in safety and sanitation protocols. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all kitchen operations, including training and supervising staff, developing and standardizing recipes to guarantee consistent quality, planning and pricing menus strategically, and overseeing equipment maintenance. This position also involves managing inventory by estimating and requisitioning food supplies accurately and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

Beyond operational responsibilities, the Chef Manager will supervise special catering events and may also contribute by providing culinary instruction or demonstrating advanced cooking techniques to the team. In addition, this role is critical for financial oversight, as the Chef Manager will help ensure that budget requirements are met and company programs are effectively executed. Job Requirements

  • 2-3 years of experience in a related position
  • 2-3 years of post-high school education or equivalent experience
  • culinary degree preferred
  • advanced knowledge of the principles and practices within the food profession
  • experiential knowledge of management of people and/or problems
  • oral, reading and written communication skills

Job Duties

  • train and manage kitchen personnel and supervise/coordinate all related culinary activities
  • estimate food consumption and requisition or purchase food
  • select and develop recipes as well as standardize production recipes to ensure consistent quality
  • establish presentation technique and quality standards, and plan and price menus
  • ensure proper equipment operation/maintenance and ensure proper safety and sanitation in kitchen
  • oversee special catering events and may also offer culinary instruction and/or demonstrates culinary techniques
