This renowned restaurant has established itself as a premier destination for guests seeking a memorable dining experience defined by culinary excellence and outstanding hospitality. The restaurant prides itself on its rich legacy and continued dedication to maintaining high standards of quality and guest satisfaction, making it a distinguished name in the Sacramento dining scene.

The Executive Chef role at The Firehouse Restaurant is a highly strategic and hands-on leadership position responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations. Reporting directly to the General Manager and ownership, this full-time, salary-exempt position requires a culinary leader who can inspire and build a high-performing, accountable back-of-house team. The Executive Chef is entrusted with designing and executing seasonal menus and daily features that uphold the restaurant's reputation for quality and innovation. A critical part of the position involves driving culinary standards, ensuring consistency in food preparation, presentation, and taste, while also maintaining rigorous food safety and sanitation protocols.

More than just a kitchen manager, the Executive Chef at The Firehouse is a visionary who collaborates closely with front-of-house (FOH) leadership and the general manager to ensure seamless coordination between dining room and kitchen operations. This leadership extends to mentoring and developing the culinary team, fostering a culture of professionalism, communication, and accountability. The role demands a candidate who can effectively manage operational costs, including food and labor expenses, while optimizing purchasing, inventory control, and vendor relationships to meet financial targets.

The Executive Chef will also play a key role in recruiting, training, and retaining talented kitchen staff while promoting a positive, growth-oriented work environment. The ideal candidate will bring over 10 years of culinary leadership experience in fine dining, with proven success as an Executive Chef or Senior Sous Chef prepared to advance. The chef will lead by example with clear communication, respect, accountability, and fresh culinary ideas that honor the Firehouse Restaurant's legacy. The role requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays with an adaptable schedule that meets business needs and supports hands-on leadership during service periods.

This career opportunity at The Firehouse Restaurant offers passionate culinary professionals a chance to contribute to a prestigious, guest-focused restaurant that values tradition, innovation, and excellence in every aspect of its operation. By joining this team, the Executive Chef will have a pivotal role in shaping the future of one of Sacramento’s top culinary destinations and continuing its tradition of remarkable dining experiences.
