The Executive Chef position at Aramark is a critical leadership role within its culinary operations. This management role oversees chef managers and hourly culinary staff, ensuring that culinary production aligns with the company's Executional Framework and high standards for food quality, presentation, and customer satisfaction. The Executive Chef is responsible for developing and implementing culinary solutions that address diverse customer tastes and preferences, guaranteeing a memorable dining experience. The role requires hands-on management of kitchen operations and direct interaction with guests to maintain excellent client rapport.
This position demands a balance of culinary expertise and strong leadership skills to train, motivate, and coach kitchen teams to uphold best practice food production techniques. The Executive Chef ensures compliance with safety, quality assurance, and operational excellence standards, including waste management, menu standardization, food safety policies, and equipment maintenance. Financial acumen is essential, with accountability for meeting food and labor cost targets, improving margins, and understanding supply chain processes.
Through effective communication and team management, the Executive Chef plans and executes meetings, recognizes employee achievements, and maintains comprehensive staff records. The role also involves tracking culinary trends, ensuring the use of authorized suppliers, and managing accurate food consumption forecasts. Job Requirements
- requires at least 4 years of culinary experience
- at least 2 years in a management role preferred
- requires a culinary degree or equivalent experience

Job Duties
- ensure culinary production appropriately connects to the Executional Framework
- ensure proper culinary standards and techniques are in place for preparation of food items including production presentation and service standards
- manage a culinary team including chef managers and hourly staff to ensure quality in final presentation of food
- train and manage culinary and kitchen employees to use best practice food production techniques
- coach employees by creating a shared understanding about what needs to be achieved and how it is to be achieved
- reward and recognize employees
- plan and execute team meetings and daily huddles
