With a strong commitment to employee growth, wellness, and satisfaction, MGM Resorts is dedicated to fostering a workplace that supports professional development while encouraging personal fulfillment.
The current opportunity is for an Executive Chef position at Excalibur's TAP Sports Bar, one of MGM Resorts International's acclaimed dining establishments. This leadership role is ideal for a culinary professional who thrives in a fast-paced, energetic kitchen environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional food experiences. The Executive Chef will be responsible for guiding the kitchen team in creating innovative, memorable menus designed to capture the excitement and diversity of the TAP Sports Bar's bustling atmosphere. This position involves strategic oversight of daily kitchen operations, including managing budgets, labor productivity, scheduling, and inventory control, all while ensuring superior guest service and adherence to the highest culinary standards.
As the Executive Chef, you will represent the kitchen department in divisional, property, and corporate meetings, playing a pivotal role in shaping policies, procedures, training initiatives, and menu strategies that align with MGM Resorts' commitment to quality and profitability. You will maintain rigorous health, sanitation, and cleanliness standards across the kitchen, ensuring compliance and safety at all times. Beyond operations, this role includes human resources responsibilities such as fostering a collaborative and respectful work environment, coaching staff through performance feedback, supporting professional development, and ensuring compliance with employment laws and collective bargaining agreements. The role demands a proactive approach to managing guest feedback and guarantees seamless coordination with other kitchen teams and management to deliver consistent food quality and service excellence.
This position requires at least two years of relevant culinary leadership experience, with a preference for candidates who have managed teams under union agreements or have operated within banquet, high-volume, luxury, or fine-dining kitchen settings. Bilingual abilities, especially proficiency in English, are preferred, helping to support communication within a diverse team and multicultural guest base. MGM Resorts values individuals who are ready to embrace the unique challenges and rewards of culinary leadership in a high-profile, high-energy setting and who are eager to contribute creatively to the continuing success of TAP Sports Bar and MGM Resorts as a whole. This role offers an exciting and rewarding career path with access to extensive employee benefits, development programs, and the chance to be part of the vibrant MGM Resorts community.
