Job Description
Century Golf Partners Management is a leading company specializing in managing premier golf clubs and private club experiences that emphasize exceptional service and memorable hospitality environments. With a commitment to excellence, Century Golf Partners creates unique and welcoming spaces where members can enjoy not only golf but also superior dining and event experiences. Their management style fosters creativity and leadership among staff, emphasizing collaboration and innovation to enhance member satisfaction and overall club prestige. As an employer, Century Golf Partners values talent, passion, and the drive to deliver exceptional hospitality, making it a sought-after destination for professionals seeking meaningful careers in the golf and private club industry.
The Executive Chef position at Century Golf Partners is a prestigious and vital role, designed for an individual who is passionate about culinary arts and hospitality. This role transcends traditional kitchen management, incorporating leadership, creativity, and member engagement. The Executive Chef will be the visionary behind the culinary offerings of the club, responsible for creating and executing innovative à la carte menus, overseeing large-scale events such as golf outings and banquets, and leading wine pairing dinners that elevate the dining experience. This role demands a leader who nurtures a strong kitchen team through mentorship and positive culture, instilling pride in quality and service.
An important aspect of this role is the direct interaction with members, ensuring that culinary offerings meet and exceed expectations, and that guests feel personally valued. The Executive Chef collaborates closely with Food & Beverage leadership to ensure a seamless dining experience across all venues, balancing creative menu development with meticulous food cost and labor management to achieve financial objectives. Additionally, this position requires a strong operational focus including recipe development, standards for plating and presentation, inventory and purchasing control, compliance with health and safety regulations, and proficient use of hospitality technology and performance metrics.
Ideal candidates bring experience with à la carte dining, banquets, and high-volume events, especially golf outings. Wine dinner and pairing expertise are highly regarded. Leadership skills are essential to recruit, train, and inspire the culinary team, fostering growth and excellence within the kitchen. Although private club or resort experience is a distinct advantage, it is not mandatory, broadening opportunities for talented chefs ready to make their mark in a dynamic and supportive environment. Certifications such as ACF or Ohio Manager Certification in Food Protection or Person-in-Charge are beneficial and can be a plus for candidates.
The work environment at Century Golf Partners emphasizes a team-oriented, collaborative culture where creative freedom is encouraged. While flexibility and willingness to work long hours are sometimes necessary, the role offers a rewarding platform for culinary professionals to show their expertise, lead with impact, and contribute to rich club traditions and guest experiences. The Executive Chef role is designed for those who want more than a job—they want to shape the culinary direction of a prestigious club, engage meaningfully with members, and build a legacy of excellence in hospitality.
