The Executive Chef role at Wuksachi Lodge offers a unique chance to lead culinary operations in a high-volume, industry-leading environment. This full-time, year-round position allows a dedicated culinary professional to showcase their culinary expertise, leadership skills, and business acumen while working alongside a skilled team. The Executive Chef will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the kitchen operations, including recipe development, budget management, staff hiring and training, food safety compliance, and operational reporting. The role demands a professional who can balance creativity with operational efficiency and maintain high culinary standards under a variety of service conditions.
In addition to competitive pay with an anticipated base salary range of $78,400 to $105,800 per year, Delaware North offers an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, plus opportunities for sales incentives. Relocation assistance and manager housing are available to help ease the transition into this role. Job Requirements
- Minimum two years experience as an Executive Chef in a high-volume industry-leading concept
- five years culinary experience in established restaurants and catering companies
- ServSafe and Food Safety Handler certifications required
- ability to work a flexible schedule to accommodate business needs
- proven leadership skills
- valid driver's license
- strong financial and computer skills
Job Qualifications
- Minimum two years experience as an Executive Chef in a high-volume industry-leading concept
- five years culinary experience in established restaurants and catering companies
- certificate or degree in Culinary Arts preferred
- ServSafe and Food Safety Handler certifications required
- strong financial and computer skills
- experience working with and understanding of P&Ls and budgeting
- knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- knowledge of point-of-sale (POS) systems
- proven ability to lead team members clearly and concisely
- positive influence on team behavior and performance
- valid driver's license required
Job Duties
- Hire, train, and mobilize kitchen and service teams
- develop and maintain recipes, portion specifications, and standard preparation procedures
- determine purchasing specifications and budgetary allotments for all menu items
- prepare operational reports
- highlight progress, adverse trends, and make recommendations for success
- maintain knowledge of and compliance with all company and health department policies, regulations, and standards
- possess working knowledge of company invoice tracking, labor tracking, schedule preparation, food cost management, labor cost management, inventory control, and hiring, counseling, and termination policies
- ability to drive company vehicles throughout property
