Sunrise Senior Living is currently seeking an Executive Chef to lead its dining services operations. The Executive Chef role is pivotal in ensuring residents receive outstanding culinary experiences that are not only nutritious but also enjoyable and tailored to their needs. The Executive Chef at Sunrise Senior Living drives menu planning aligned with regulatory requirements and seasonal offerings, ensuring variety and nutritional balance that cater to seniors' dietary needs, including therapeutic diets. This person will manage purchasing processes, vendor relationships, and food cost controls to maximize efficiency and budget adherence. The role also includes monitoring sanitation logs, temperature records, and kitchen procedures to uphold HACCP standards and other food safety regulations. Supporting special events and catering is part of the responsibilities, offering residents memorable dining experiences at community functions.

Job Requirements

  • Culinary degree or certification required
  • Minimum 3 years as chef or kitchen manager
  • 2+ years leadership and supervisory experience
  • Current food service sanitation certification
  • Strong knowledge of nutrition and therapeutic diets
  • Budget management and cost control experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and technology systems
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings
  • Passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences for seniors
