The Executive Chef role at Laurel Glen at Sugar Land community is an exciting opportunity for culinary professionals who are passionate about senior care and culinary excellence. This position is full-time and offers a competitive salary range of $60,000 to $70,000 annually along with eligibility for performance-based bonus programs. The Executive Chef’s primary responsibility is to oversee the entire Food Services Department, ensuring excellence in quality, customer service, and productivity. Job Requirements
- High school graduation or equivalent
- Minimum four years supervisory food service experience
- Formal training or equivalent in nutritional monitoring assessment and food service
- Effective communication skills in English
- Valid Chef certification
- Ability to work compassionately with elderly
- Self-motivated and proactive work ethic
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Four years or more supervisory experience in food service
- Formal or on-the-job training in nutrition food production sanitation safety and management
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in English sufficient for communication and understanding instructions
- Must hold a Chef credential
- Compassion for elderly residents
- Strong leadership and motivational skills
Job Duties
- Innovate plan promote and supervise a food service program that meets or exceeds quality and productivity standards including specialized diets
- Recruit hire train discipline and supervise kitchen and dining room staff
- Establish document direct and assist in kitchen and dining room sanitation procedures and scheduling
- Comply with state local and federal health safety and licensing regulations
- Manage food and supply inventories within budget guidelines
- Promote continuous understanding of Food Services Department importance among team
- Perform other duties as assigned
