Job Requirements
- Associate degree in culinary arts or equivalent
- 3-5 years of culinary leadership experience in high-volume foodservice or hospitality environments
- Strong knowledge of culinary trends
- Experience with food production, catering operations, sanitation, and cost controls
- Ability to lead and develop culinary teams
- Proven experience in fast-paced kitchen environments
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Outlook
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Compliance with health and safety regulations
Job Qualifications
- Associate degree in Culinary Arts or equivalent combination of education and professional experience
- 3-5 years of progressive culinary leadership experience in high-volume foodservice or hospitality environments
- Strong knowledge of culinary trends, food production, catering operations, sanitation, and cost controls
- Experience leading and developing culinary teams in fast-paced environments
- Catering and banquet experience preferred
- High-volume, multi-outlet, or complex dining operations experience strongly preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Outlook, and general computer systems
Job Duties
- Oversee all back-of-house culinary operations including food production, preparation, presentation, and execution
- Develop and implement regular and specialty menus aligned with dining programs, seasonal offerings, and campus events
- Lead, train, and mentor culinary team members on food preparation, safety standards, sanitation, and equipment operation
- Maintain high standards for food quality, consistency, creativity, and presentation
- Manage inventory, purchasing, and product utilization to support operational and financial goals
- Establish and maintain cleaning, sanitation, and preventative maintenance programs for kitchen equipment and work areas
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local health and safety regulations
- Support and execute catering and special event operations across campus
- Collaborate with leadership teams to enhance dining experiences and introduce new culinary initiatives
