Job Requirements

  • Associate degree in culinary arts or equivalent
  • 3-5 years of culinary leadership experience in high-volume foodservice or hospitality environments
  • Strong knowledge of culinary trends
  • Experience with food production, catering operations, sanitation, and cost controls
  • Ability to lead and develop culinary teams
  • Proven experience in fast-paced kitchen environments
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Outlook
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Compliance with health and safety regulations

Job Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Culinary Arts or equivalent combination of education and professional experience
  • 3-5 years of progressive culinary leadership experience in high-volume foodservice or hospitality environments
  • Strong knowledge of culinary trends, food production, catering operations, sanitation, and cost controls
  • Experience leading and developing culinary teams in fast-paced environments
  • Catering and banquet experience preferred
  • High-volume, multi-outlet, or complex dining operations experience strongly preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Outlook, and general computer systems

Job Duties

  • Oversee all back-of-house culinary operations including food production, preparation, presentation, and execution
  • Develop and implement regular and specialty menus aligned with dining programs, seasonal offerings, and campus events
  • Lead, train, and mentor culinary team members on food preparation, safety standards, sanitation, and equipment operation
  • Maintain high standards for food quality, consistency, creativity, and presentation
  • Manage inventory, purchasing, and product utilization to support operational and financial goals
  • Establish and maintain cleaning, sanitation, and preventative maintenance programs for kitchen equipment and work areas
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local health and safety regulations
  • Support and execute catering and special event operations across campus
  • Collaborate with leadership teams to enhance dining experiences and introduce new culinary initiatives
